I am here today wanting nothing more than everything we all want, to make Enugu State the greatest State in Nigeria. But Before we dive deep, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

My name is Pastor Donatus Obi Ozoemena, born in Awgu, Awgu LGA, Enugu State. I did my primary and part of my Secondary education there, completing at Government Technical College Enugu where I majored in Refrigeration and Air conditioning practice. During my school education in Nigeria I paid part of my prize in hawking palm wine on the streets of Lagos to help pay for my education, and to financially support me after my graduation. During those tough times and because there was no hope for me, I prayed to God to allow me to live only 40 years, but those 40 years be used to positively touch people’s lives and for his glory alone.

Since after that faithful prayer door of opportunity opened and I was opportuned and humbled to represent Nigeria in France and other countries with a cultural dance team “African Heritage” in multinational competition held in France in 1987 where we won several trophies for Nigeria under the able leadership of both Bhola Eberiga and Late Retired Major General Emmanuel Abisoye. Soon after that I was opportuned to travel to the United States of America. There I furthered my education, became a member and Instructor with United Association of Plumbing and Pipe-fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, under Houston Community College system. I also was opportuned to work alongside some of the best Engineers in the world in the USA at National Astronautic and Space Administration “NASA”.

I got called to the full service of the Lord and was ordained a Pastor in 2010. Since then me and my wife have together run a ministry named God’s Anointed Live Ministries dedicated to helping churches both in the United States and at Home, feeding the needy spiritually and materially. Since then it has been our passion to continue this important ministry perpetually.

Today I am over forty years old, married to my beautiful wife, also a Pastor, Pastor Happy Ozoemena, blessed with 4 Children, 2 boys and 2 girls all deeply rooted to serving the Lord with all their heart.

I am sure that if I ask what is wrong in Nigeria today, each one of you will have a full list. And that is why we are here today, including you. We have solutions to them. I have spent a good part of my life and worked in the United States of America, where we usually “honker down” on problems (as we say it) analyze the problem to understand it clearly, find solution to it and put solutions into actions until it is resolved. Failures usually are not options. That’s what we do and that’s why we are different.

In several occasions, that God allowed me to be home, I have seen the the scare on our peoples faces, unemployment skyrocketed, our people running away to foreign lands like Libya, Afghanistan, South Africa in search of better future, only to be captured, either tortured and killed, some for organ harvest or enslaved. I tell you today that many parents and relatives thought their children were abroad but they didn't know their beloved child had been slaughtered. Nigerians are blessed with great resources and intelligence to create the quality of life our people so desire. On multiple occasions I intentionally rode “Keke na Pepe” (a popular Nigeria commercial tricycle) only to discover that most of the drivers have university degrees and diplomas with them hopelessly looking for a job.

Since then I have been restless in my mind as God kept directing that I must go home and help rebuild my beloved birthplace. The Lord God said to me, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness".

It's time for all of us to join hand in creating the kind of change desirable for all of us and our children. Enugu State and Nigeria have everything we need to be a great state and a great country. But we need the right leadership to give Nigerians what they desire. We need-

Security

Stable Electricity

Agricultural Development

Industrial Development

Jobs

Real Youth Empowerment

Women Empowerment

Quality Education

Good Roads

Good Health-care

Clean Safe Water

…… and lots of other great things that we are lacking today

It is our sincere desire to bring home the things other people in developed countries take for granted. Together we will rebuild and stabilize our economy, bring transparency to the government, supply and keep stable electricity, build commercial centers, downtown and industries that will bring jobs, health care, good roads, clean drinking water and more to our people. Together we will make sure that our people are secure and not afraid of their lives.

Together we will invest in Agricultural development to enable us fight and conquer hunger in Enugu State.

With joint effort we can make a difference that will not only impact our generation but also generations to come, So I plead with everyone of you to go and register to vote and prayerfully select the right candidate that will bring the change we are all craving for. We owe it to ourselves to Elect " Right-Leaders"

Not the Party that gave you a Bag of Rice or #1,000 - Remember the saying “Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day, Teach a man how to fish, he will eat for lifetime”.

We must stop voting for people who cannot fix Nigeria right this minute. We need to start fixing them today because it is within our powers at the ballot box to vote the "Right-Leadership" to represent us and do our work.
